Training and Professional Supervision for Psychologists Working with Children

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an experienced consultant to strengthen the competencies of child psychologists through advanced training and professional supervision. The assignment will be delivered in a hybrid format, including two one‑week missions in Sukhumi, Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training on prevention of adolescent substance use and other risk behaviours.
• Deliver training on evidence‑based psychological interventions for children and adolescents with complex mental health needs.
• Provide external professional supervision for complex child protection and mental health cases.
• Submit an all‑inclusive fee covering professional fees, travel and accommodation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in psychology, counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatry or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of practical experience providing psychological support to children, including rehabilitation of child victims of violence.
• At least 3 years of experience providing professional supervision to psychologists.
• Proven experience delivering training in the above areas.
• Working knowledge of English (mandatory); Russian proficiency is an asset.
• Deep understanding of UNICEF approaches to child protection and psychosocial support.
• Excellent communication skills.
