Authorizations Representative

About the role

Pharmbills is looking for a remote Authorizations Representative to support U.S. healthcare providers. In this role you will manage insurance authorization requests, keep patient records up‑to‑date, and act as a liaison between patients, clinicians and internal teams to ensure timely approval of services.

Key responsibilities

• Submit, track, and follow up on insurance authorization requests.
• Collect and verify required documentation from patients and clinicians.
• Maintain accurate authorization and patient records in internal systems.
• Monitor authorization status, resolve documentation gaps, and communicate updates.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Authorizations and other internal departments.
• Support administrative duties such as inbox management and appointment coordination.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in healthcare administration, medical billing, authorizations or customer support is a plus.
