Senior 3rd Line / Software Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineer to join our global Cloud Hosting team. You will work on cloud infrastructure platforms and interfaces, delivering automation, APIs and support for applications, games and services running on our cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and automate EKS clusters across the global environment.
• Develop stable code for automation and internal customer‑facing APIs.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the full technology stack.
• Participate in a rotating on‑call support rota (one week per 2‑3 months) with additional bonus.
• Write high‑level designs and developer documentation.
• Contribute to release planning, workload prioritisation and bottom‑up scheduling.
• Design solutions with privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance and resilience in mind.
• Analyse requirements, evaluate alternatives and implement the best approach.
• Complete short GoLang test tasks before the client interview.

Required profile

• 5+ years of platform DevOps experience on AWS or GCP.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes (EKS) and related policy tools such as Vault and Kyverno.
• Proficient scripting in Python, Ruby or Bash with an Infrastructure‑as‑Code mindset.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Docker and Ansible.
• Familiarity with AWS networking, MongoDB and basic Go programming.
• Excellent communication, client‑centric attitude and English at B2 level or higher.
• Willingness to participate in on‑call rotations.
