Lead Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

EPAM Georgia is looking for a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and efficiency across its cloud platforms. You will work closely with development, security, quality, and operations teams to deliver robust, automated solutions that meet high customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement SRE practices and define service reliability targets.
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud‑based solutions on AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application incidents promptly.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting for systems and applications.
• Lead the adoption of AI‑enabled capabilities such as GenAI, autonomous agents, and AIOps.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to engineering and management stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a similar role.
• Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Demonstrated use of SRE practices: SLO/SLI, error budgets, post‑mortems, toil reduction, capacity planning, and incident management.
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python or equivalent).
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher.
