Doorman

About the role

The Doorman provides a warm welcome to guests, assists with luggage and directions, and ensures a smooth, safe entrance experience at The Telegraph Hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests, open doors, and assist with luggage and directions upon arrival and departure.
• Monitor the entrance area, coordinate with reception, support security procedures, and help guests access transportation such as taxis or rideshare services.
• Maintain a clean and orderly entrance, offer information about hotel services and local attractions, and respond promptly to guest requests.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer service skills, professional appearance, punctuality and reliability.
• Basic proficiency in the local language and English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Prior experience in hospitality, concierge, or front‑of‑house roles is preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Security awareness and basic security skills to monitor the entrance and report concerns.
• Experience with receptionist duties such as coordinating with front desk and guiding guests.
• Ability to manage doors and entrance operations, including opening doors, managing guest flow, and assisting with luggage.
