Consultant – Mainstreaming Migration Data into Population Registry

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a consultant to support the development of recommendations for mainstreaming migration data into Georgia’s population registry. The assignment will involve analysing existing data flows, identifying gaps, and proposing practical solutions that align with national policies and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review and map current migration data collection and management processes in Georgia.
• Assess legal, institutional and technical frameworks governing population registration.
• Develop evidence‑based recommendations to integrate migration data into the national registry.
• Prepare analytical reports and presentation materials for Georgian authorities and IOM stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and consultations with relevant government agencies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in demography, statistics, public administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in migration data, population registration or information‑management projects.
• Strong analytical, research and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and capacity to work independently and with multi‑stakeholder teams.
