Software Fraud Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Software Fraud Engineer to design and build a next‑generation fraud prevention platform. In this engineering role you will create real‑time detection systems, risk engines, and automated decision‑making services that protect both our users and the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop fraud detection pipelines for payments, wallets, authentication and user activity.
• Detect account takeover, payment fraud, bonus abuse, multi‑accounting and other abuse scenarios.
• Build and improve risk rules, velocity controls and dynamic scoring engines.
• Analyze transaction patterns, device intelligence and risk signals using large‑scale event streams.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs and internal tooling for real‑time risk evaluation.
• Collaborate with Product, Payments, Data and Platform teams to optimise latency and accuracy.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fintech, payments or security.
• Strong backend development background with languages such as Go, Java, Kotlin or Python.
• Experience with distributed, event‑driven architectures and large datasets.
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of payment flows and authentication mechanisms.
• Fluent English and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
