Mid‑Senior Shopify Project Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a mid‑senior Project Manager with agency experience in Shopify store builds and theme development. The position is fully remote, paid on a monthly retainer, and involves managing multiple client projects while coordinating internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Shopify store build and theme development projects for several merchants simultaneously, from kickoff through launch and ongoing maintenance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for end‑clients, defining scope, timelines, status updates, and trade‑offs in clear English.
• Lead internal developers, designers, and QA, ensuring tickets, priorities, and blockers are transparent and addressed.
• Translate merchant goals into phased Shopify work that can be shipped reliably.
• Use AI tools to draft plans, tickets, and status updates, reviewing all output before client delivery.

Required profile

• Agency experience managing Shopify store builds and theme development for multiple brands.
• Direct ownership of client relationships, comfortable communicating with merchants, founders, or brand stakeholders.
• Proven ability to lead developers and designers day‑to‑day with clear ticketing and status reporting.
• Strong Shopify literacy (themes, apps, checkout, content freezes, launch windows).
• Proficiency with project‑management tools such as Jira, Linear, Notion, or Asana.
• Fluent English (C1+), with written and spoken communication in your own voice.
• Availability for live client coordination up to roughly 5 PM EST.
