Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Mphasis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy high‑quality software solutions. The role involves monitoring production applications, fixing defects, and addressing customer complaints captured through CSAT metrics. You will also research and implement emerging technologies to keep our platforms competitive.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design, construct, test and implement business and technical IT solutions using appropriate SDLC methodologies.
• Monitor production applications, resolve defects, and respond to customer issues.
• Define project scope, plans and deliverables, and validate them with stakeholders.
• Lead design, development, implementation and support of multi‑discipline solutions.
• Research, evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools and processes.
• Participate in upgrades, enhancements, and conversions of existing systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong background in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda and serverless architectures.
• Experience with caching strategies and test automation frameworks.
• Proven ability to interact with customers to understand business context and technical requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership in defining project scope and delivering results.
