Senior DevOps Engineer, AWS

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in cloud and automation to design, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure solutions. The role is fully remote within Georgia, allowing you to work from any location while collaborating with teams across Tbilisi, Batumi, and Kutaisi.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, and related tools.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and maintain AWS resources.
• Collaborate with development teams to deploy micro‑services on Kubernetes/EKS via GitLab CI/CD.
• Lead the migration of existing Jenkins pipelines to GitLab, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Monitor system health, performance, and security to maximize uptime.
• Maintain and evolve the toolchain that enables continuous integration and delivery.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions on schedule.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles.
• Proficiency with GitLab, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Strong background in AWS, EKS, and Ansible.
• Experience migrating Jenkins pipelines to GitLab.
• Solid scripting skills in Shell and Python, plus Ansible playbooks.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of infrastructure security best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
