Senior Data DevOps Engineer with Azure

About the role

EPAM is looking for a Senior Data DevOps Engineer with deep Azure expertise to lead the deployment, configuration, and optimisation of our data platforms. You will work remotely from anywhere in Georgia while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, scalable data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure the Data Platform on Databricks following approved architectures, ensuring production‑ready, secure, and scalable environments.
• Design, implement and evolve CI/CD pipelines and supporting tooling for data workflows in partnership with Data Engineering, ML, Platform and QA teams.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in build/deploy pipelines, data workflows and production workloads; conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
• Develop and maintain configuration‑management practices for infrastructure, environment parameters, secrets and cluster policies.
• Produce clear technical documentation, including deployment guides, runbooks, pipeline logic and platform configuration.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Build Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer or similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps and Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to work across engineering, data and operations teams with excellent communication skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher for technical discussions and documentation.
