IT Infra Innovation Tech Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for an IT Infra Innovation Tech Assistant Manager to design, build and support next‑generation IT infrastructure for Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America’s EV production plant. The role blends hands‑on engineering with strategic planning to ensure reliable, high‑performance services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify requirements and develop new IT infrastructures and applications, including P‑5G, Wi‑Fi 6 and containerization technologies.
• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux‑based servers and monitor infrastructure metrics.
• Integrate, optimize and manage VMware vSphere (and other hypervisors) for virtualization.
• Provide highly available IT services in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Support the manager in strategic planning and operational decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure engineering.
• Strong understanding of network terminology, protocols and architectures.
• Expertise in Linux server administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting cross‑functional IT systems and working with virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in database platforms such as MariaDB, Oracle, MSSQL or Tibero.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
