General Manager – Platform

About the role

GoMining is seeking a General Manager to own the platform that underpins its ecosystem. The role combines business, product and operational leadership, holding full responsibility for strategy, P&L, team performance and platform growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the platform strategy and roadmap, aligning shared services with the needs of multiple product teams.
• Prioritise investments based on technical risk, business impact and revenue potential, balancing long‑term reliability with urgent commercial requests.
• Own platform reliability metrics – uptime, latency, SLA compliance – and lead incident management and post‑mortem improvements.
• Manage shared authentication, authorization, 2FA, user‑restriction and analytics infrastructure, ensuring consistency across products.
• Collaborate directly with product General Managers and C‑level stakeholders to remove bottlenecks and accelerate delivery.
• Track and improve engineering performance using DORA metrics and drive release stability.
• Support integrations, native applications and design‑system components that serve the broader GoMining business.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an end‑to‑end business owner for a technology platform or product line.
• Strong data‑driven decision‑making ability and comfort presenting to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated skill in balancing strategic technical investments with short‑term commercial priorities.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, working with engineering, product, design and operations teams.
• Track record of improving reliability, scalability and operational performance of shared services.
