Data Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

Intermedia is looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join its IT Business Systems & Security department in the Republic of Georgia. You will work with a modern data stack to ingest, transform, and deliver reliable data for internal users and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that move data from MSSQL to Snowflake.
• Write, test, and document dbt models to ensure data quality and usability.
• Investigate and resolve data issues, tracing problems from reports back to source systems.
• Respond to incidents such as failed MSSQL jobs, hung Snowflake tasks, or missing S3 files.
• Perform backfills, validate results, and confirm fixes.
• Monitor data flows and keep documentation up‑to‑date for future maintenance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related field.
• Self‑starter who owns work end‑to‑end without constant supervision.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a comparable discipline.

Required skills

• Strong SQL proficiency (joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning).
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), and Amazon S3.
• Familiarity with MuleSoft and Git for integration and version control.
