CT Technologist

About the role

The CT Technologist provides high‑quality computed tomography imaging while delivering compassionate patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment. Working independently, they operate CT scanners, ensure patient safety, and follow radiation protection standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures in accordance with department guidelines and verify physician orders.
• Obtain accurate clinical histories and explain the examination process to patients using AIDET communication.
• Position patients precisely, administer contrast agents when required, and monitor patient response.
• Review acquired images for diagnostic quality and document procedures in RIS/PACS.
• Respond to emergencies and support departmental workflow and patient flow.
• Maintain CT equipment, perform routine quality checks, and ensure infection control practices.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
• Support regulatory compliance and departmental documentation standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in radiology or related imaging field.
• Current ARRT‑R (Radiography) and ARRT‑CT (Computed Tomography) certifications.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
