Application Support Engineering Professional

About the role

The Application Support Engineering Professional will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and micro‑services. You will work closely with product, UI/UX, and DevOps teams to deliver robust server‑side solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java‑based backend services using Spring Boot.
• Build and implement RESTful APIs that connect frontend components with server logic.
• Create and maintain database schemas, write efficient SQL queries, and work with ORM tools such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Write unit and integration tests (JUnit, TestNG) and debug issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical solutions and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
• 6 to 10 years of professional experience in Java development.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Java (8, 11, or 17) and Spring Boot.
• Experience with micro‑services architecture and event‑driven design.
• Version control using Git.
• Build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Database design, SQL, and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).
• Testing frameworks (JUnit, TestNG).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) – desirable.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (React, Angular, JavaScript) – desirable.
