About the role

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies for our Java‑based backend and Angular frontend applications. You will own the full release cycle, from smoke testing to production hand‑over, and drive automation and quality metrics across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Define testing strategy, including test pyramids, entry/exit criteria, and regression policies.
• Implement risk‑oriented planning, prioritising modules with highest failure cost.
• Manage release cycles: smoke, regression, acceptance testing, and production deployment.
• Develop, maintain and extend automated tests using Java (TestNG) or Python (pytest) and integrate them into CI pipelines.
• Configure test runs in CI (Jenkins) and link them to commits and builds.
• Maintain test environments, database dumps, and anonymised test data; verify DB migrations on snapshots.
• Document test cases, traceability matrices, and quality metrics; report defect rates, regression times, coverage, and test stability.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional testing experience.
• Strong SQL skills (complex JOINs, window functions, EXPLAIN) with MySQL.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or Insomnia and reading Swagger/OpenAPI specs.
• Ability to read Java code (Servlets, JAX‑RS) and understand business logic.
• Hands‑on automation experience with Java/TestNG or Python/pytest.
• Proficiency with Playwright or Selenium for building end‑to‑end frameworks.
• Solid Git workflow knowledge and Linux server administration.
• Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins.
