Shift Engineer – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a Shift Engineer to join our hotel’s facilities team in Tbilisi. The successful candidate will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all building systems operate safely and efficiently during their shift.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and log daily activities for hand‑over to the next shift.
• Perform basic repairs: painting, drywall, wood trim, light‑bulb and A/C filter replacement, plumbing unclogs, electrical switch/outlet replacement, TV programming and general housekeeping inventory.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using the building computer system.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance.
• Strong communication skills, professional appearance and commitment to safety policies.
