Senior Security Engineer (Pre‑Sales)

About the role

As a Security Engineer (Pre‑Sales) at Vectra you will combine technical expertise with sales acumen to engage prospective customers, demonstrate Vectra’s AI‑driven threat detection platform and help solve complex security challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑sales support and technical account management for regional sales managers.
• Conduct product demos and troubleshoot customer issues as the subject‑matter expert on Vectra solutions.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure stakeholders have up‑to‑date product information and documentation.
• Develop and maintain deep technical knowledge of Vectra’s product line and the broader security landscape.
• Identify new opportunities by building strong technical relationships with customers and channel partners.
• Participate in deployment reviews, design reviews and forecast calls, and travel within the region as needed.

Required profile

• Startup mindset with a “whatever it takes” attitude and strong customer‑first focus.
• Ability to work hand‑in‑hand with sales counterparts (RSM).
• 5+ years of experience in technical account management or security engineering, including large‑account management.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of security product families such as CASB, EDR, SIEM and forensics platforms.
• Strong networking knowledge covering OSI layers L3‑L7.
• Familiarity with attacker progression techniques (red‑team / penetration testing).
• Knowledge of incident‑response processes (blue‑team).
• Experience with cloud security and network architecture, including AWS environments.
