Senior QA/QS Engineer

About the role

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance / Quantity Survey Engineer to support construction supervision for a major roads, tunnels and bridges infrastructure project. The role will be involved from the early EOI stage through to project execution, ensuring quality and contractual compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement project‑wide quality assurance systems.
• Manage measurement and payment processes in line with contract requirements.
• Oversee document management and maintain accurate records.
• Review and certify contractor interim payment certificates.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and procedures.
• Support the Team Leader on all QA/QS matters and coordinate with project teams.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years on large infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in quality assurance systems and contract measurement/payment.
• Experience with document control and management systems.
• Good understanding of construction supervision and contract requirements.
• Excellent analytical, communication and coordination abilities.
