Senior Contract Specialist

About the role

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is looking for an experienced Senior Contract Specialist to support construction supervision on a major infrastructure project financed by International Financial Institutions. The role focuses on managing FIDIC‑based contracts and ensuring compliance with IFI procurement requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and manage FIDIC‑based construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review, assess, and process claims, variations, and contractual changes.
• Ensure all contractual actions meet IFI contractual and procurement standards.
• Provide contractual advice and support to the project team.
• Monitor contractor performance and assist in dispute resolution.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation and records.

Required profile

• Professional qualification in Engineering, Law, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in contract management.
• Proven experience on IFI‑funded projects.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.
