Senior Backend Developer (Node.js + DevOps)

About the role

We are looking for a senior backend developer to join our client’s team in Batumi. The role focuses on building robust, scalable services using Node.js while driving DevOps practices on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
• Build and manage API integrations and external system connections.
• Work with Azure cloud infrastructure for deployment and scaling.
• Implement and manage event‑driven systems, including geolocation‑based features.
• Develop and optimise push‑notification orchestration systems.
• Contribute to DevOps processes such as CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure improvements.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, hardware, and software).
• Make independent architectural decisions and drive technical solutions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in backend development with strong expertise in Node.js.
• Solid experience with DevOps practices and cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Proven experience with API development and system integrations.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures.
• Strong understanding of scalable system design.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of solutions.
• Good communication skills and conversational English.
