Senior Back-End Engineer

About the role

Flutter Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) is seeking a Senior Back‑End Engineer to design, build and maintain high‑performance .NET services that power its iGaming and sports‑betting platforms. You will own the reliability, scalability and security of the APIs that deliver a seamless user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using .NET.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product owners and other stakeholders to deliver secure, robust solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, improve architecture and optimise performance.
• Integrate with SQL/NoSQL databases, message brokers (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and third‑party services.
• Write clean, reusable, testable code and maintain high code‑quality standards through reviews and unit testing.
• Debug, monitor and optimise backend systems for performance, scalability and security.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend development.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building .NET services and designing RESTful APIs.
• Proven expertise in microservices, distributed systems and API security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using Git‑based collaborative workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and ownership mindset.
