Quality Control Engineering Specialist – Body

About the role

The Body Quality Control Engineering Specialist will study and understand automotive body parts and processes to improve quality while meeting internal and external customer requirements. This role supports new vehicle projects and ongoing production at HMGMA, Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated EV mass‑production plant.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and assemblies to make quality decisions.
• Investigate defective products, analyze root causes, and develop countermeasures.
• Establish short‑term and long‑term measures to ensure smooth production.
• Collaborate with HMC visitors during new project development for quality improvement.
• Conduct Supplier Process Audits (SPA) and review supplier tools, products, and systems.
• Lead BIW audits, share inspection results with suppliers and HMGMA engineers, and drive improvement plans.
• Manage assigned products to meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Improve the efficiency of the quality control management system by applying new technologies and equipment.
• Ensure procedures and systems comply with specifications and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (engineering preferred).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong concern for quality, prompt judgment, complex problem‑solving, and monitoring & feedback abilities.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
