Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator

About the role

The Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator supports Micon Group’s operational crews by ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and health standards across construction projects. Reporting to a supervisor, you will work independently in a fast‑paced environment to promote a positive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct weekly job‑site visits, audits and inspections.
• Investigate loss incidents and lead emergency response activities.
• Perform environmental assessments and evaluate facilities and job locations.
• Assist operations in implementing and maintaining existing HSE programs.
• Prepare and present HSE reports and documentation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a safety professional in the construction industry.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar safety role (as indicated in the posting).
• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable with public speaking, travel, and using technology for HSE tasks.
• Experience facilitating safety culture within a union environment.
