Graphics Programmer (Unity)

About the role

ChillBase is an independent game studio, and OneState is its hardcore mobile social roleplay game built on Unity, set in a realistic open world. The studio develops its own solutions in ECS, networking, physics and graphics. The Graphics Programmer works on rendering, shaders and graphical stability, and the studio offers a hybrid format in Belgrade with flexible hours.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new rendering features and improve the project's render pipeline
• Write shaders and optimise graphics performance
• Diagnose and fix graphical issues and bugs
• Build tools for adjacent teams
• Carry out R&D and explore new solutions
• Maintain graphical stability of the product
• Port the project to other platforms such as PC and PlayStation

Required profile

• Commercial experience developing games in Unity with a focus on mobile optimisation
• Strong understanding of computer graphics principles and rendering pipelines
• Deep knowledge of Unity and experience with SRP and URP
• Experience writing and optimising shaders
• Experience building tools that improve workflows for other teams
• Understanding of development specifics for PC and mobile platforms
• Native Russian language

• GPU and CPU profiling
• Vertex animations and compute shaders (nice to have)
• Cross-platform porting (nice to have)
• Deferred rendering (nice to have)
