Freelance Technical Consultant

About the role

As a Freelance Technical Consultant at Toloka AI, you will design and implement data labeling pipelines and act as a trusted technical advisor for our global customers. You will help clients understand their data needs, uncover new opportunities, and build scalable AI solutions that power leading generative AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, engaging both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Lead discovery conversations to translate client goals into actionable solution designs and delivery plans.
• Advise on best practices for data collection, quality, evaluation, and model‑training workflows.
• Design end‑to‑end data solutions using Toloka’s platform, including configuration of labeling components, quality controls, and AI‑driven tooling such as synthetic data generation.
• Integrate solutions into automated pipelines for AI training and evaluation, run experiments, and communicate progress and risks transparently.
• Identify expansion opportunities and propose additional value‑adding AI data services.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of solid technical experience working with data‑related tasks.
• Comfortable operating in technical environments and solving problems with Python and AI technologies.
• Strong communication skills, able to engage with both technical teams and executive decision‑makers.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset and ability to work closely with commercial teams.
