Finance Senior Manager – Head of Department

About the role

As the Finance Senior Manager (Head of Department) at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, you will lead the finance function of the first dedicated EV mass‑production plant. You will shape financial strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the plant’s long‑term sustainability and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead General Accounting, Treasury, and Tax functions, guaranteeing compliance with IFRS, GAAP and corporate policies.
• Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise cash flow, tax efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and close processes.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, tax authorities and other financial institutions.
• Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership to drive growth and operational efficiency.
• Establish internal controls and lead risk‑management initiatives, including currency and liquidity risk.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance, aligning corporate tax strategies with business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Develop, mentor and retain a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of finance experience (accounting, treasury, tax) with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, GAAP and tax laws.
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting and analysis within manufacturing or automotive industry.
• Proven ability to manage external audits, tax compliance and treasury operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
