Customs Operations Specialist – EU Export

About the role

Xometry is looking for an experienced Customs Operations Specialist to support its EU export activities. You will ensure export documentation is accurate, maintain compliance with EU customs regulations, and act as the main liaison with customs brokers and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete export document packages and provide required information to customs brokers.
• Review commercial data (value, origin, Incoterms, product descriptions) for accuracy.
• Verify customs entries and respond to inquiries from customs authorities.
• Manage day‑to‑day communication with customs brokers, transport companies, and customs authorities.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in export declarations.
• Handle preferential trade rules, EUR.1 certificates, and T2 procedures.
• Coordinate customs procedures for warranty replacements, claim returns, repairs, and re‑imports.
• Determine and verify HS codes in collaboration with technical teams.
• Support month‑end special export procedures and resolve operational issues.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of EU customs regulations and export compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and ownership mindset.
• Ability to solve complex, non‑standard shipping scenarios.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
