Chief Investment Officer

About the role

Foresight Investment Group is looking for a Chief Investment Officer to lead its Investment Department. Reporting to the Director, the CIO will define the overall investment strategy, oversee fund managers and risk, chair the Investment Committee, and build a high‑performing investment team supported by modern technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously adapt fund investment strategies, asset‑allocation policies and investment hypotheses in line with market conditions, regulatory requirements and company objectives.
• Directly supervise fund managers, monitor performance, adjust positions in response to interest‑rate, credit‑risk and liquidity changes, and regularly review portfolio structure and risk profiles.
• Design and implement a comprehensive investment risk‑management framework, including economic scenario modelling and stress‑testing.
• Lead the Investment Committee, manage decision‑making processes and approve investment proposals.
• Oversee the Group’s voluntary private‑pension schemes, setting policy, monitoring managers and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Drive automation, data quality and standardisation of investment processes, working with technology teams on data architecture, BI tools and NAV automation.
• Recruit, mentor and develop analysts and fund managers, fostering a culture of research and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in designing and implementing diversified, risk‑adjusted investment strategies for multi‑asset portfolios.
• Extensive experience in portfolio management, performance optimisation and fixed‑income, credit and liquidity management.
• Deep knowledge of capital markets, macro‑economic analysis and regulatory frameworks in Georgia and international markets.
• Strong leadership record in building and managing investment teams within a financial institution or asset‑management environment.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Business; CFA or equivalent professional certification highly preferred.
• Fluent in Georgian and English with excellent communication and judgment.
