Chief Accountant

About the role

FLO Georgia, a subsidiary of the FLO Group, is looking for a Chief Accountant to lead day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations, ensure statutory reporting and support the headquarters accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily finance and accounts operations, including account reconciliations.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in line with Georgian statutory requirements and monthly declarations.
• Produce additional reports required by the HQ Accounting department.
• Participate in payroll processing and salary‑related payments.
• Prepare statistical reports and file them with the relevant authorities.
• Support the Tax department with data for tax returns and deferred tax calculations.
• Ensure intercompany cost allocations comply with management agreements and transfer pricing policy.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting systems and policies.
• Oversee rent and construction agreements and control related payments.
• Lead the internal audit process from planning to completion, supporting external auditors.

Required profile

• University degree in a related field; accounting qualification (ACCA, CAP, CIMA) preferred.
• Experience as a Chief Accountant in an international retail company.
• Strong knowledge of Georgian accounting, civil legislation and tax code.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Good command of MS Word and Excel.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
