Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate AR records, ensuring timely invoicing, collection follow‑up, and daily receipt postings while supporting month‑end closing and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Issue customer invoices and credit notes, post receipts daily, and allocate payments correctly.
• Maintain customer master data in the ERP system and ensure proper setup for invoicing and collections.
• Investigate and clear unapplied receipts and unidentified items within agreed timelines, keeping unreconciled items below month‑end limits.
• Perform daily/weekly reconciliations between bank statements, cash receipts, and the AR ledger, coordinating with sales, treasury, and operations to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and monitor AR aging reports, follow up overdue invoices, and support collection targets.
• Assist in month‑end AR sub‑ledger closing, prepare related reconciliations, and provide data for credit loss provisioning.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, support audit requests, and propose process automation improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Finance Operations.
• Experience in real estate, property management, hospitality or project‑based environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong AR accounting knowledge (invoicing, receipts, allocations, aging, reconciliations).
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Good understanding of internal controls and documentation standards.
