Team Lead – Payments Gateway

About the role

Singular, a leading iGaming solutions provider within Flutter Entertainment, is looking for a Team Lead to head its Payments Gateway squad. You will replace the current Product Manager in a managerial capacity, fostering a healthy, collaborative environment that drives high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, manage and lead a squad of 5‑10 engineers, ensuring alignment with team objectives.
• Participate in recruitment, focusing on cultural fit and team balance.
• Conduct regular 1‑to‑1s, performance reviews, mentoring and probation follow‑up.
• Maintain on‑call schedules, manage vacations and ensure adequate coverage.
• Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Solutions Architects, Product Managers and Product Owners to uphold SDLC, technology principles and backlog priorities.
• Promote engineering best practices, continuous improvement and a sustainable engineering culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in people management and leading software engineering squads.
• Strong ability to create a cohesive, creative and comfortable working environment.
• Excellent communication skills to align team members and resolve interpersonal issues.
• Track record of delivering on road‑maps aligned with company vision and mission.
