Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

Devexperts, a consultancy and developer for the financial industry, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join a team that builds and supports several large trading platforms. The engineer helps the team keep access to markets for end users from many countries, ensuring availability, automated releases, monitoring and alerting.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with developers on prototyping and designing new features within the infrastructure.
• Deploy, install, configure and maintain trading and finance software.
• Configure bare-metal instances using Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Make key decisions on scalability, reliability and accessibility.
• Install and manage internal and external monitoring systems.
• Provision cloud servers and networks, configure firewalls, VPNs and monitoring.
• Administer UNIX infrastructure and work with Nexus and Git repositories.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in the field.
• Experience as an SRE or DevOps.
• Strong Linux and/or UNIX administration.
• Ability to read and analyse errors.
• English at least B2.

Required skills

• Ansible and/or Terraform for IaC.
• Docker orchestration (OpenShift/HashiCorp).
• Monitoring and logging tools such as Zabbix, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Grafana and Kibana.
• Apache, Nginx, HAProxy, Envoy.
• Nice to have: JVM support, Bash/Python/Groovy scripting, TeamCity, hands-on coding.
