Senior Test Engineer

About the role

Mphasis is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead the design and implementation of automated UI and API tests for our client‑facing applications. You will work in a fast‑paced, cloud‑native environment, ensuring high quality across web, mobile and backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop UI test automation scripts using Cypress, Mocha/BDD, JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright.
• Create and maintain API automation scripts with Cypress, Rest‑Assured and Postman.
• Validate responsive applications across Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to catch defects early.
• Work with AWS services (DynamoDB, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda) to support test environments.
• Participate in regression testing and track defects with development teams.
• Contribute to test strategy, process improvements and QA best practices.
• Perform mobile automation testing using Appium, XCUITest or Espresso.
• Execute performance testing using LoadRunner or JMeter.

Required profile

• Extensive experience validating front‑end applications and APIs.
• Proven track record testing responsive applications on multiple platforms and browsers.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud‑based test environments.
• Familiarity with UI/UX design tools such as Figma is a plus.
• Background in networking concepts is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively with developers.
