About the role

SmartCore, a fintech holding focused on next‑generation payments, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support and evolve its cloud infrastructure across Europe and the CIS. The role is remote‑friendly with the option to relocate to Barcelona for a hybrid setup.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and expand AWS infrastructure, including networking, compute, databases, queues, and secrets.
Deploy new services and environments on Kubernetes (EKS) and ECS/Fargate.
Keep Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) and GitOps (ArgoCD) up to date.
Configure and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Docker, CodeBuild and CodePipeline.
Monitor systems with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch and handle alerts.
Participate in on‑call rotation, investigate incidents and assist developers with deployments.
Manage Cloudflare DNS, CDN, WAF and SSL/TLS certificates.
Maintain data layer components such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka/MSK, MongoDB and ClickHouse.
Ensure security and compliance (PCI, ISO) for access controls, secrets and network configurations.

Required profile

4+ years of production experience with AWS services (VPC, IAM, EKS, ECS, RDS, load balancing, secrets).
Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes on EKS, including deployments, debugging and Ingress.
Strong expertise in Terraform (modules, state) and Terragrunt.
Proficiency with Helm, ArgoCD, Docker and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, CodeBuild).
Background in FinTech or PCI‑regulated environments and willingness to take on‑call duties.
