Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgery/Bariatric – Acute Care

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in surgery and bariatric acute care to join our interdisciplinary team. The RN will deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care within a supportive leadership and shared-governance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform the full nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practices and critical thinking.
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care to diverse populations while respecting cultural differences.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team through bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds.
• Document care accurately, promote teamwork, and support performance-improvement initiatives.
• Participate in professional development as a preceptor or mentor and engage in research and evidence-based practice activities.
• Develop protocols, optimize resource use, and ensure compliance with policies, standards, and safety goals.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferably less than one year of clinical experience or recent completion of an accredited nursing program with clinical hours.
• Strong clinical skills, commitment to evidence-based practice, and a collaborative mindset.
