QA Specialist

About the role

Bolder Apps is looking for a QA Specialist to own quality across real client products. The role blends hands‑on exploratory testing with building AI‑assisted automated coverage that runs continuously, ensuring releases are ship‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the end‑to‑end QA process, including test strategy, test cases, regression suites, and release sign‑off.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing on web and mobile applications, covering functional, boundary, negative, cross‑browser, and responsive scenarios.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and write supporting scripts in JavaScript or Python.
• Test AI‑driven features, handling non‑deterministic outputs, prompt regressions, hallucinations, and evaluation metrics.
• Research, pilot, and report on new AI testing tools, recommending adoption or removal.
• Write clear, actionable bug reports with reproducible steps, environment details, severity, and evidence.
• Stay aligned with product specs, map high‑risk areas early, and communicate release status, coverage gaps, and risks.

Required profile

• Excellent written English with a habit of over‑communicating.
• Proactive attitude: escalates issues the same day.
• Ownership mindset: quality is your responsibility.
• Real‑world production testing experience, especially manual and exploratory testing.
• Ability to create test cases from thin specifications, prioritizing by likelihood and impact.

Required skills

• Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium for UI automation.
• API testing experience.
• JavaScript programming.
• Python scripting.
