Project Manager (Water)

About the role

HDR’s Water Business Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead both small‑scale planning efforts and large, multi‑disciplinary design projects across the United States. You will play a central role in delivering safe drinking water, wastewater treatment, flood protection, and sustainable water supply solutions that protect public health and the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage water‑related projects ranging from single‑discipline studies to complex, multi‑disciplinary designs.
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring expectations are met and communication is clear.
• Lead and coordinate technical teams, fostering collaboration across engineering, environmental, and construction disciplines.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality standards to deliver on time and within scope.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and client presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in water infrastructure or related engineering fields.
• Demonstrated ability to manage detailed project plans and large‑scale program delivery.
• Strong leadership and client‑facing skills.
