Project Engineer (Water)

About the role

HDR is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Water Business Group. The role involves delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support public health, environmental sustainability and community resilience. The engineer will work on a variety of assignments, from modernising ageing treatment plants to developing innovative flood‑control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design and construction management of water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare technical documents, calculations, and reports for client review.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Support field inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
• Contribute to cost estimating, scheduling and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively.
• Interest in sustainable water solutions and infrastructure resilience.
