Part-Time Cardiac Sonographer

About the role

The Cardiac Sonographer will perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations to support patient care and clinical diagnosis. This position requires a dependable professional who can work flexible hours and operate imaging equipment independently while ensuring patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Verify clinician orders, obtain patient history, and assess contraindications.
• Perform cardiac ultrasound exams following departmental protocols, producing high‑quality images.
• Identify patients, explain procedures clearly, and answer questions.
• Assist with equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and infection‑control compliance.
• Document findings accurately, process images, and support team members.
• Transport and position patients, restock supplies, and handle clerical duties.
• Operate ultrasound stations, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain regulatory standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED; diagnostic medical sonography training preferred.
• Certifications: ARDMS, CCI, or RDCS, and BLS required upon hire.
• Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience or relevant education.
• Ability to follow procedures, think critically, and communicate effectively.
