Node.js Backend Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to build and maintain scalable services that power our platforms. You will own the performance, reliability, and security of APIs that integrate with mobile applications and third‑party systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• Collaborate with engineers, DevOps, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, robust solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions, improve architecture, and optimize for scalability and reliability.
• Implement real‑time features such as WebSockets when required.
• Integrate with SQL and NoSQL databases, message brokers (e.g., Kafka), caching systems (e.g., Redis), and external APIs.
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code; create unit and integration tests.
• Debug, monitor, and optimize backend systems for performance and security.
• Maintain technical documentation and API guidelines.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, primarily in backend development.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of microservices, API design, and security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using Git‑based workflows.
