Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Maintenance Manager leads all aspects of property upkeep for a multifamily community, ensuring timely repairs, safety compliance, and high resident satisfaction. Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, you will oversee a team of technicians and coordinate with vendors to keep apartments and common areas in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Manage service tickets, inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, unit turnovers, and overall property upkeep.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate maintenance staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, Fair Housing and other safety regulations.
• Control budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships for repairs and capital projects.
• Provide emergency and on‑call support as needed.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in multifamily or similar property maintenance.
• Proven leadership and staff development abilities.
• HVAC certification required; CPO certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including on‑call rotations.
