Maintenance Electrician

About the role

The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems within a large-scale distribution warehouse that utilizes automated robotics. Working on-site, you will ensure all electrical equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting advanced automation technology.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on automated warehouse robotics systems.
• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
• Inspect and test lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits using ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, testing lamps or growlers.
• Replace faulty switches, sockets and other electrical components.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace malfunctioning parts such as gears, brushes and armatures.
• Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
• Estimate time and material costs and requisition new electrical supplies as needed.

Required profile

• Valid electrician’s license.
• Willingness to work nights and/or weekends.
• Proven experience as a maintenance electrician or in a similar role.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to safety protocols and detail.

Required skills

• Electrical circuit repair, installation and testing.
• Use of hand tools and testing instruments (ammeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, testing lamps, growlers).
• Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Preventative maintenance on automated robotics systems.
