Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for safeguarding the property, guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring a safe environment. This role requires vigilant patrols, rapid response to emergencies, and thorough documentation of all security-related events.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and lock entrances when required.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarm, and fire life‑safety systems.
• Conduct daily physical hazard inspections and respond to accidents, providing first aid/CPR as needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and notify appropriate personnel.
• Defuse disturbances, escort unwelcome persons, and call for outside assistance when necessary.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and daily activity logs while maintaining confidentiality.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, and conduct interviews with relevant parties.
• Report vehicle accidents, thefts, and other security incidents using proper code responses.
• Maintain professional appearance, follow company policies, and support team goals.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and respond quickly to situations.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills and ability to read small print and varied formats.
• Commitment to confidentiality, safety protocols, and company policies.
