Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer ensures the safety of guests, employees and assets by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols and responding to incidents across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms and fire‑life‑safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical‑hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR and contact EMS as needed.
• Assist guests and employees during emergencies and defuse disturbances.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift summaries and daily activity logs.
• Escort unwelcome persons, report vehicle accidents/thefts and call for outside assistance using proper codes.
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and interview relevant parties while maintaining confidentiality.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and support quality‑assurance standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb (assistance for heavier items).
• Strong observational skills and ability to read small‑print information.
• Capable of responding quickly to emergencies and moving at a required speed (run, jog).
• Professional demeanor, clear communication and commitment to confidentiality.
