Lead Application Developer

About the role

Primerica is seeking a Lead Application Developer to design, modify, and develop advanced frontend systems. The role involves analyzing existing applications, solving complex problems, and staying current with emerging technologies while working largely independently.

Key responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code using advanced programming techniques.
• Develop technical specifications, unit test plans, and perform thorough regression testing.
• Document new systems and changes, creating flow charts, logic diagrams, and coding structures.
• Review business test plans to ensure they meet project requirements.
• Provide on‑call support for production and lower environments.
• Mentor and train junior developers and contractors.
• Lead full PRPC implementation cycles, including enterprise class structure and ruleset design.

Required profile

• Strong analytical abilities to conduct background research, interview business stakeholders, and define system solutions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Excellent communication skills for directing training and collaborating with business partners.

Required skills

• PRPC (Pega) implementation experience.
