Java Developer – Remote (Security Solutions)

About the role

TuxCare is seeking a passionate Java Developer to strengthen its Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) product. You will work remotely with a global security team, delivering secure Java instrumentation for diverse, legacy‑heavy environments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze publicly disclosed CVEs affecting Java open‑source libraries and frameworks.
• Identify safe, compatible versions of third‑party dependencies and backport security patches.
• Develop fixes or mitigations when upstream patches are unavailable.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code and ensure backward compatibility.
• Collaborate with engineers and security specialists to produce production‑ready updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of Java Core and the Spring framework.
• Experience with dependency‑management tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
