Head of Infrastructure and DevOps

About the role

Smartcat is seeking a senior leader to own the infrastructure and DevOps function across its global engineering organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and availability of both staging and production environments while driving best‑in‑class SRE and DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain 99.9% uptime for CI/CD and staging servers and 99.99% product availability.
• Eliminate release‑related production issues by enforcing rigorous CI/CD testing and review processes.
• Accelerate lead time by optimizing pipelines and environment provisioning.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high‑performing, multi‑regional engineering team.
• Define and enforce SRE/DevOps standards, disaster‑recovery plans, and data‑driven decision making.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience leading engineering teams in a fast‑growing multinational IT company.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on DevOps/SRE experience with high‑RPS distributed products.
• Proven ability to use metrics to justify technical decisions.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with adjacent teams and act as a bridge between engineering and the broader organization.
