Finance Associate

About the role

Quantum Light is seeking a proactive Finance Associate to support the CFO in day‑to‑day finance operations. The role offers exposure to a fast‑moving investment business and involves working across multiple entities in the UK and Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and own monthly financial and management reporting packs.
• Reconcile financial data across Quantum Light entities and support consolidation efforts.
• Process and review payments, including high‑value investment transactions.
• Maintain and improve recurring finance processes, spreadsheets, and workflows.
• Track and report on travel, subscriptions, payroll and other expense categories.
• Collaborate with Legal, Investment, Fundraising and other teams on finance‑related requests.
• Assist with finance projects and continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in accounting, audit or a similar finance role.
• Background in a Big Four or Top 10 firm.
• ACA or ACCA qualification, or working towards one.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high‑value transactions.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency.
• Familiarity with Xero accounting software.
• Understanding of UK VAT and corporation tax (optional).
